Julia’s Cottage was absolutely lovely and had everything you needed. The location was great, just a short walk to the town where cafes, pubs and takeaway options are available. The cottage itself was homely and the garden was great to have during this hot weather! Bed is very comfortable! I can see why parking might be a little tricky if you’re in a big car HOWEVER Julia goes above and beyond to make this as seamless as possible, providing clear instructions along with video footage so that you know exactly where you are and where to go! We had an amazing stay and I would definitely recommend booking this place!Posted on Airbnb![]()

We had a very enjoyable three days at Kibble Cottage. The cottage is very cosy and comfortable and everything was clean, tidy and worked well. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom well fitted and spacious. You need to be reasonably fit to access the cottage as you need to carry bags from your car up quite a steep incline to reach the front door. We were aware of this beforehand and it did not pose a problem for my wife and I. Parking my car was a bit of an issue and it was necessary for me to park in the village as there were no suitable parking spaces that could accommodate my car near to the property. This meant that any shopping etc. had to be carried uphill by hand for about 500 metres. All in all a very enjoyable trip.Posted on Airbnb![]()

We had an amazing stay at kibble cottage. The cottage is so clean, comfortable & homely. It provided us with everything we needed for the week. The garden was lovely to soak up some of the sun after long walks & the view from just across from the front door overlooking the village at sunset was spectacular. Its location is fantastic for exploring the peaks, with lots of beautiful walks right on the door step. The village it self had lots of amenities from shops, restaurants and great pubs. Which in all the staff & locals were so friendly & helpful. From the village you can visit lots of places, Matlock Bath, Matlock, Bakewell, Buxton & Chesterfield & many more easily & via public transport. We had no issues with parking up the dale & instructions to get there was appreciated & spot on thanks to Julia & Vincent’s good communication. We would gladly stay again & definitely, and we already have, recommend to others.Posted on Airbnb![]()

We had a great stay at this cottage. Location wise, it's a great base for hikes from wirksworth and only a few minutes walk from the centre which has plenty to do (great pubs, restaurants and a tiny cinema). It was perfectly easy to get to without a car, we got a train to Cromford and there is a bus which runs straight to Wirksworth from there. The house itself was lovely, and Julia and Vincent were really responsive before and during our stay - would definitely reccomend!Posted on Airbnb![]()
